Important updates on minimum reporting threshold for Custom Channels and Search Styles
The minimum reporting thresholds for click-derived metrics on Custom Channels and Search Styles will increase to 10 clicks per day.
The email is from Google AdSense about how they report on your custom channels and search styles. These features let you track how well ads are doing in different parts of your website.
Here's the update in simpler terms:
- Previously, AdSense showed data for all your channels and styles, no matter how many clicks they got.
- Starting on August 21st, 2024, AdSense will only show detailed data (clicks, click rates, etc.) for channels and styles that get at least 10 clicks in a day.
- If a channel or style gets less than 10 clicks, AdSense will still store that data but won't show it in reports. Instead, those reports will show a 0 for clicks and other click-related results.
- This change applies only to click-based info, other data like impressions (ads shown) is not affected.
Overall, this means you'll see less detail for channels and styles that don't get many clicks. This may help simplify your reports and make it easier to focus on what's working well.

| Dear Partner, | | We're writing to share important updates about the launch we previously communicated for changes to reporting thresholds for custom channels and search styles in your AdSense for Search (AFS) and/or AdSense for Domains (AFD) account. | | We previously informed you that on May 15, 2024, the minimum reporting thresholds for Custom Channels and Search Styles will increase. | | After carefully considering partner feedback, starting Aug 21, 2024, we will begin adjusting the minimum reporting thresholds for the following click-derived metrics (listed below) on Custom Channels and Search Styles to 10 clicks per day. | |
Naming in the AdSense UI | Naming in the AdSense API | Clicks | CLICKS | Clicks spam % | CLICKS_SPAM_RATIO | Page CTR | PAGE_VIEWS_CTR | Ad request CTR | AD_REQUESTS_CTR | Matched ad CTR | MATCHED_AD_REQUESTS_CTR | CTR | IMPRESSIONS_CTR | Ad CTR | INDIVIDUAL_AD_IMPRESSIONS_CTR | CPC | COST_PER_CLICK | | |
| This change will introduce a filter on reporting. Rows that contain click-derived Custom Channel or Search Style (or other dimensions combined with either one of them) need to have at least 10 clicks to be shown. We will not remove click-derived data for rows with less than 10 clicks, but instead will show them as 0. | | Other available metrics in your reporting are not impacted by this change. The scope of this list may be refined in the future, but our immediate priority is to filter only click-derived metrics. | | We appreciate your understanding and patience. | |
| Sincerely, | The Google AdSense Team | |
