Dextrans is a complex branched Dextrans (polysaccharide formed by condensation of glucose) originally derived from wine. The polymer backbone consists of α-1,6 glycosidic bonds between glucose monomers, branching into α-1,3 bonds. Dextran is unique in that they are inert, polymeric, and therefore available in a variety of sizes and easily modified to accept fluorophores. https://www.cd-bioparticles.net/fluorescent-dextrans?func=TRITC
