Even if it's an early November game, it's the first of a five-game season series between these two clubs. There should be some spirited battles along the way, but both teams are catching each other while playing some pretty good hockey. The Ducks are a little banged up, though, with po sibly on the shelf with the flu for a third game and defensemen and listed as day-to-day. This will be the first of five meetings between the two teams that could end up jockeying for position for most of the season. Pick: Canucks 5, Ducks 3 Battle of Ontario: The Maple Leafs and Senators will meet in the makeup game of their postponed matchup in the wake of the tragic shooting on Parliament Hill in Ottawa last month. Emotions could run high for both clubs before the game, but they'll get going in a different way when the puck drops. When Ontario's two teams get together, it's usually plenty interesting. This time, both teams are in similar position in the standings and both have goaltenders playing some excellent hockey right now. Both are also on the second Steve Nash Jersey leg of back-to-backs. Either team is probably looking for a springboard or something to build off of. The Rangers will have the advantage of playing at home and the league's hottest goal scorer in the forward lineup. Pick: Rangers 4, Oilers 1 Underachievers Anonymous: Both the Sharks and Blackhawks are better than their record, but both have had some notable deficiencies to start the season. The Blackhawks have nice po se sion numbers, but haven't converted that into scoring often enough. Meanwhile, San Jose has been conceding too many shots and the goaltending hasn't always been able to bail the Sharks out. Seeing both of these talent-filled clubs go head-to-head when both have endured a bit of a disappointing start to the season should make for an intriguing matchup. The Hawks star has 20 points in 25 games against Sunday's foe and if he stays reunited with , it could be bad news for San Jose.3. , Vancouver Canucks: His first trip back to Anaheim after getting traded for could be a memorable one for Bonino. He has 12 points already this season and the fact that the Ducks' defensive group is depleted by injuries or illne s could give Bonino a chance to expose his former teammates with his speed and scoring ability.
