KL University has once again made a remarkable mark, securing the 26th rank among all universities in India. Thus, reaffirming its position as a top-tier institution in the country.

Its performance across other categories stood out as follows:

• 35th among engineering institutions
• 46th in the overall national ranking (including all categories)
• 70th among management institutions

The list was released by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, on September 4, 2025. These rankings are considered the gold standard in evaluating Indian higher education institutions. The contenders include IITs, IIMs, IIITs, IISc, NITs, and major state and central universities. 

The best universities in India are given rankings based on multiple parameters like curriculum, infrastructure, research output, placements, faculty credentials (including PhD qualifications), and overall academic quality.
