Who Can Register?

Any micro, small, or medium enterprise, as defined by investment and turnover thresholds, is eligible:

  • Micro Enterprise: Investment up to ₹1 crore and turnover up to ₹5 crore

  • Small Enterprise: Investment up to ₹10 crore and turnover up to ₹50 crore

  • Medium Enterprise: Investment up to ₹50 crore and turnover up to ₹250 crore


Documents Required

  • Aadhaar number of the proprietor/partner/director

  • PAN number

  • GSTIN (if applicable)

  • Business name and address

  • Bank details

  • Nature of business activities


Udyam Registration Process

You can complete the Udyam Registration in just a few simple steps:

  1. Visit the official portal – Go to http://udyogregister.in

  2. Enter Aadhaar details – The process begins by entering the Aadhaar number of the business owner.

  3. Verify with OTP – OTP is sent to the registered mobile number for verification.

  4. Provide business information – Fill in business name, type, PAN, location, activity details, and investment/turnover info.

  5. Submit the form – After completing the form, submit it to receive a registration certificate.

  6. Receive Udyam Certificate – Once approved, the system generates a unique Udyam Registration Number and certificate.


Important Points to Note

  • No registration fee is charged.

  • Aadhaar is mandatory for registration.

  • Only one Udyam Registration is allowed per enterprise.

  • Enterprises can update their information anytime online.
